Do you love the idea of adding design with function? I am crazy about it since I try to keep to a more minimal decor style. That’s the reason why having decorative diy coasters is right up my alley. Join me. You definitely also couldn’t resist.
Let’s get started from making a coaster covered in fabric.
You need to prepare:
-Cork contact paper
-4″ x 4″ Tile
Step 1: Coat your tile with Mod Podge.
Step 2: Add your cut piece of fabric and apply an additional layer of Mod Podge.
Step 3: Flip it over and then apply a bit of Mod Podge to seal down the edges.
Step 4: Let the Mod Podge dry and then it’s time to apply the cork backing for the tiles. Cut to size.
Then simply remove backing and apply.
All done! You may find your new go to gift will become personalized coasters. It’s a great housewarming gift for a friend, neighbor, etc and it pairs perfectly with a bottle of wine!
